A Very Long Engagement

i finally get to watched this film *__* i’ve been desperately dreaming to see it ;_;

A Very Long Engagement (Un long dimanche de fiançailles) is a novel by Sebastien Japrisot, on which a 2004 film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and distributed by Warner Bros. is based. It is a fictional tale about a young woman’s desperate search for her fiancé who might have been killed on a World War I battlefield (the Somme).

The film’s tagline is “Never let go.”

Jean-Pierre Jeunet is the director of Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain (The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain), or Amélie, where Audrey Tatou starring there as well.
As expected, the film is shot beautifully, if i stop the frame anywhere, the scene will be a georgeous photograph on its own.
Although I felt a bit bored following the search of Manech with no result, the film will still be one of my favourite of all time. Audrey Tatou showed a great performance as Mathilde.
I have yet to watch Da Vinci Code :x

btw, Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s next project will be Life of Pi, an adaptation of Yann Martel’s novel with the same title.

what a coincident :D it’s a small and flat world isn’t it
