external cd writer

IDE (ATAPI)/ USB 2.0 Adapter (IDE to USB cable) works for CD drive (DVD/ CD-RW)
i took out Lite-On CD Writer from beast-kun (old pc IBM Desktop 233Mhz), and use it as external cd writer for mith (laptop Toshiba Satellite 233Mhz)
so now i can burn leeched files off the tiny laptop hdd (mwahahaha)
i also got a new usb hub 4 ports for mith
(now the laptop has stuffs and wires attached to it and make it seems immobile…)

i tried to put 16MB VGA card to beast-kun, but it turned out the slot is AGP… and beast doesn’t have AGP slot (seriously, the guy said it’s PCI, so don’t blame me, i’m hardware illiterate)
oh well, if possible, next month i’ll get another card (and make sure it uses PCI slot)
my neighbors thought i’m a computer technician… (when they saw me strugling to put AGP VGA card into PCI & ISA slots (LOL))
another time one of them thought the laptop is some kind of TV…
reminds me of someone in DeviantArt who thought i’m a pro at Photoshop coz he read that i rotated an image in Photoshop..
anyway :D

last weekend i visited the college that i’ve been ignoring for the past 2 years ever since i passed the last semester exam, and some old friends who’re still hanging out around the school
(why would anyone like to hang out around the school? i just don’t get it)
some things have changed naturally, and i was expecting to see some changes
the head of my faculty was absent, so i talked to another faculty’s head (excuse the grammar), he told me i should pay for a year (2 semesters) of leave when i didn’t show up at school and start up another graduation project all over again as soon as possible… deadline is on August. splendid.
